Hi! We are so honored you’ve stopped by our blog! We love sharing about our projects, what the Lord is doing around us, and about life in general. But the thing about sharing…is it works both ways! We want to know what YOU are doing too! Please let us know what you are working on, praying about, and what you are doing…we would love to know!

What can I say about us? Born & raised in the state of Washington, and have been living in the Mid-West for the past couple years! (You can read about our decision to move here and the move itself here and here. And then our move to the KC area here!) We love to stay busy, build community, and be in ministry with and for the church. My husband Nathan & I were high school sweethearts, married May 28th, 2005 (you can read “our story” here and here!), and were double blessed with boy/girl twins September 2010 and then again last summer! (You can read all about that surprise here!)

twin #2 announcement

If you read this blog, you will hear about our savior, Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We were born sinful, He was born perfect. We need to be rescued from sin, from death. He is the rescuer. Because of His death on the cross as a perfect, sinless man, we have been given the gift of redemption of sin. (John 5:24, Matt 11:28)   He paid the price so we don’t have to. Because of His sacrifice for us, we wholeheartedly desire to live a life serving Him.  (Matt 25:31-46) This world is temporary. His Kingdom is eternal. We believe in living with eternity in mind…we call it “living for the line.” (Not something we made up! We first heard it from our pastor back in Washington and have since read it in Francis Chan’s book “Crazy Love”.) This world is like a dot…and the line after the dot is infinite. That’s the meaning behind our little “logo”. What we do here on earth and how we spend our time and how we love our neighbors matters in light of eternity. We desire to live purposefully serving our Savior. It’s the least we can do after what He freed us from…slavery to sin and eternal separation from God. (Matt 16:24-27)

The name of this blog comes from a few Bible verses, but Philippians 1:6 sums it up well: And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. We are all on a journey with Jesus…and He has the 4 (soon to be the 6!) of us on the journey He wants us on. He’s not done with us yet. We will continue to grow, learn, work, serve, love, and do whatever He tells us while we are here on this earth. He gave us specific gifts and talents, and we love to use them to glorify Him and serve others.

We also love to do our own projects at home! Whether it’s fixing up our vintage trailer, painting a room, or building something fun…we like to have some kind of DIY project going. We also love to travel and explore our new surroundings of the Midwest. Being raised on the West Coast, we have never explored this part of the United States. We love to share fun places we’ve discovered and hope you will share your favorite spots with us!

So join us as we tackle some house projects, ministry, and getting to know our new community! And like I said…we want you to share your ideas, thoughts, and adventures with us! We look forward to hearing from you!

Grace & Peace
