Fall Mantle Decor

Happy Monday friends! Taking brief break from my posts about our recent grand adventure to talk about something very important: Fall Decor! Who doesn’t love fall?! I have yet to meet that person…except the thing I don’t like about fall is what follows it…winter. Winter makes me want to move to Arizona. Yes, I am a 70 year old living in a 30-something year old’s body 😉

Back to the subject…my older two came downstairs after I finished the fall decor and asked hashtag all the questions about why I put up fall decor when it’s not even fall yet. I said if we are going to use that logic, Christmas decor won’t come out Thanksgiving weekend but not until about 1 week before Christmas day…they were quickly silenced 😉

We aren’t much into Halloween around here, so our autumn decor is pumpkins, leaves, and other seasonal items and colors! (Although we do totally enjoy Trick or Treating and are having fun planning our families group costumes!)

Since I’m all about simplifying life lately, I’m sticking to mainly decorating the mantle…this does not hold true for Christmas of course!

This is the fist time I’ve decorated for autumn in our KC home, so I did visit good old Hobby Lobby for a few new things. This mantle and room is quite a bit bigger than our last two places we lived, so I needed a better anchor for the center of the display.

The grapevine wreath does a great job of that! $7.99 and I used the 40% off coupon…the fall floral was already 40% off, so I spent less than $10 on the whole wreath business! I also didn’t glue anything to it, so I can reuse it for other seasons/occasions! Winning. The tin sign I’ve had for yeeeeears. I think it’s from Micheals.

All these items I already had from years before. Always have to add in a vintage camera 😉

The Happy Harvest sign is another Hobby Lobby find. Love the font and the colors.

The bunting I made a few years ago…and if I wasn’t trying to teach the concept of “no touch” to my 14 month olds…there would be items on the bench part of the fireplace…one day I will have my decorating freedom back!

I did add some wooden pumpkins to the foyer table…

And of course our dining room table needed some colors of fall!

Trader Joe’s had those mini mums out the other day and I couldn’t resist! And my sweet little baby boy keeps pointing at the apples and signing please…good thing I’m not keeping candy on the table right now! 😉

I also rearranged the sitting room recently…it’s been a long time coming! It took me a few days to let it marinade…but I’m liking the arrangement more everyday!

Still lots of space for my little twinkies who are learning to walk! (Eeeep! How did that happen??!) Anyways…what do you think?!

That’s all I’ve got for now! Hopefully I’ll get to the next posts about our RV trip soon! Also about homeschool, and our basement is looking much better with paint and built in shelves and I haven’t done twin post in awhile…aaahhh!! I’m so far behind on posts!

Linking up with The Creative Corner Link Up Party! Grab yourself a Pumpkin Spice Latte and check it out! And if you have a post about your fall decor, I’d love to see it!

Press on!
