Valentine Decor

Happy Friday! Time to share the Valentine’s decor! In reality, Valentine’s is not even close to my favorite holiday, but I love pink, hearts, flowers, and I have to take advantage of adding pink to my decor as much as possible! I also love how in the last few years, a lot of bloggers and decorators are mixing teals, aquas, and browns into their Valentine’s decor…so I’m adding a little of that this year too!

When you first walk in the door, the “Love is Sweet” spot is to your right. The cupcake decor was bought at Kohls years ago and the cake stand is from TJ Maxx.

My gramma also gave me that lace overlay last summer and I’m finally putting it to good use. Adds a little romantic touch 😉

Next you see the living room…pardon the coffee table centerpiece…

I sewed the aqua and red pennant banner this past summer when I scored the heart fabric on super clearance at Joanns. My talented friend Kylee made me the chevron table runner…she’s got sewing skills!

Last weekend my man busted out a mantel for me! I’ve wanted one for a loooong time! I need to go to Hobby Lobby and TJ to see if I can find some other items for it, but this is how it looks for now.

I got the BeMine at the Target dollar spot this week.

Little love birds, awwww 🙂 The birds and cages are from Craft Warehouse.

I love how the colors of the felt garland look together, one of my favs. And I found those clothespins in the Target dollar spot this last week too…I had to use them some place. So fun.
Above the living room is a large ledge space. I always have the screen up there and change decor out for holidays/seasons.

The wooden toolbox is functioning as a “mailbox”. I’m still not sure about what’s going on over on the left there…but I’m too lazy I don’t want to ask my man to get the 8 ft ladder from the garage and do something about it. It’s awkward. And it will stay awkward…even though it makes me twitch a little bit.
Last the dining space, very simple, but I believe in little details when it comes to decor.

I think the glittery LOVE garland came from the Target dollar spot years ago.

The other day the kids were eating breakfast and little dude pipes up “Mommy? I have no heart.” I was like, “whaaaa???” Then I realized, where he was sitting at the table, there was no heart hanging above him. Observant? Seems that way. Weird? Undoubtedly. Cute? 110%.

That’s it for the decor. I’m linking up at these sites. Thanks for stopping by!
