Oh So Fine

We’ve been working on our fine motor skills lately. I like to try educational activities and art with my kids, but since I have 2 toddlers and my little guy still likes to stick things in his mouth, I’m a little limited as to what I can do. I got the ice cube tray idea from Pinterest. We put different things in it: Cherrios and Goldfish for eating and other things that we do not eat…such as puff balls, “jewels”, spiney balls, and other small items. Little man prefers the food versions…he’s my little Cherrio fiend. I like the ice cube tray because it’s not too messy, I can look away for 45 seconds and not regret it, and it keeps them busy/quiet for at LEAST 10 minutes. I highly recommend this exercise, and if you only have one to watch over…you could get more creative than me πŸ™‚

Had likes the ice cube try exercise, but she is my little organizer and prefers to put crayons back into the box after she finishes with the ice cube tray items. She’s actually getting pretty good at it…such a “simple” task, but it really requires some good hand eye coordination and fine motor skills…go girl!

Anywho…that’s what we’ve been doing lately during “creativity time” πŸ™‚

Grace & Peace,

Jaimi
