Happy Wednesday and 3rd day of Dressember! Are you part of Dressember? Do you know what it’s all about? Check it out here!
We are only 3 days in and I’m already loving it. I love being a part of this with so many. It brings me joy to look through the IG #dressember feed and see all the posts. I feel a bond with all these people that I’ve never met because we are all linking arms for a greater cause then just wearing dresses: to end human trafficking. To see all humans be treated with the dignity they deserve. I think it brings Jesus joy too when He sees so many different people coming together to fight injustice. It’s beautiful. (If you would like to donate to mine & my friends team for the Dressember fundraiser supporting IJM, please click here! And thank you!)
What have I been wearing? Honestly, it’s been a little harder then I imagined! Like I told my friends Hannah & Krista, I have quite a few dresses, but about 80% of them I consider summer dresses. So my challenge is to layer without clashing or looking homeless 🙂
Before Dressember started…I had to wear my fav skirt 😉 My sweet husband doesn’t understand pattern mixing and said I looked like a crazy person. I still love you babe…but sometimes I have to make daring fashion choices…this is one of them 😉

Awning Skirt- Ampersand Ave.
Black tights- Kohls
Heeled Oxfords- Payless
Goodbye skirt! (and jeans! Little tear…)
Hello Dressember! Day 1

Dressember day 2: layered a 3/4 sleeve tee under my Chambray dress. I liked it! I’ll be doing this again!

Dressember day 3: Chambray shirt over a black summer dress with fleece leggings. (I feel I look a little like Rosie the Riveter…jus’ sayin’.)
Black cotton racerback dress- Old Navy
Fleece leggings- toAdorn
Head wrap- tukula (gift)
Along with wearing a dress everyday, I’m trying to wear something fairtrade/handmade/product with purpose. Which brings me to my next topic…buying products with purpose as Christmas gifts!
You might have your shopping done already…but please consider purchasing at least one fair trade/handmade/product with purpose this Christmas! Maybe next year you can up it to two or three items! Here are some great sites (that I love!) to purchase items like that:
I also have a pinboard devoted to shops that employ rescued victims of trafficking, women in impoverished areas, or items that are made ethically. Please check it out!
Also along the lines of handmade items, my girl Mindy over at MinMac shop is busting our her awesome necklaces and earrings like crazy! She also has a coupon code right now! HOLIDAYJOY gets you 20% off orders over $15! So get your order in quick! I’ve already purchased a couple gifts from her, can’t wait to give them to a couple special someones in my life 😉
Another way to shop & give back is to visit GroopDealz right now. They are hosting a special event featuring items that give back. Check it out here! PS, if you are participating in Dressember and are in need of fleece leggings, they often have screaming deals on those! So sign up and keep checking your inbox for those!
That’s all for now! Linking up with the Pleated Poppy WIWW!
Press on! Or…Dress on! 😉
