A few weeks ago I was on Facebook and I noticed my mom had liked a page called “Twice”. Being a typical twin parent, I have an attraction to anything labeled “twin pack” “double” “two times”….you get the idea. So I checked out the page. Turns our the website, liketwice.com is basically a high end online second hand clothing store. Buying and selling brands like Guess, Banana Republic, Gap, and Loft to name a few. I signed up for their daily emails and immediately received 40% coupon in my inbox. Sweet deal! That was quite the incentive to test out the entire process. I looked around and found a cute little date night dress that was about 20 bucks…40% off of that. Score. And shipping is always a flat $5. Bonus. Also free returns if your purchase doesn’t work out. And if you still aren’t convinced that this store is super cool….how does a daily 10% off coupon to your inbox sound? Not to mention the occasional “extras”….25% off on July 4th…and another deal I took advantage of last week, that I will tell you about shortly.
How about we get to the goods? What exactly have I purchased from liketwice.com anyways? Glad you asked. My initial purchase, like I said earlier, was a fun little date night dress.
The brand of the dress is Lush and including shipping I believe I paid less then $15 for it. The picture just gives you an idea of how I would style it during the summer. Come fall, I totally plan on pairing it with some black tights, cognac boots, and some kind of cardi. Since it has bling on the neckline, I won’t accessorize too much.
When I received my purchase, my invoice stated that if I downloaded their app, I would receive a $10.00 store credit. Um, yes please! Last week, in one of the daily emails they sent me (which you can customize it to send you certain brands and sizes), I spied this lovely gem:
I love a good leather jacket….but an Express leather jacket for $28?! Unreal. Cue $10 store credit…oh and they had a special 30% off your order as a “final sale” deal. Well I knew the jacket would fit, so I used my store credit and 30% off.
Looked around a bit more (you can have items in your cart for 1 hour, so speed shop!) I found an Eddie Bauer shirt dress…included that in my purchase and the dress came to $14.
I wore this to church on Sunday (minus the fedora of course…but I think it gives a “vacation” feel to it). White leggings from Rue 21, sandals from Target, fedora from Fred Meyers, and necklace from MinMac on Etsy.
I love the idea of second-hand/lightly used clothing…but I often have a hard time buying clothes at thrift stores. Seems I can always smell the thrift store in the items I purchase and it never goes away. This is a way to buy second hand clothing without that problem! Great brands, great prices, and if you have clothes that fit within their brand list…you can sell clothes too! I see no downside to this whole situation friends 🙂
That’s it for my review on liketwice.com. Go sign up for your account today and start getting great deals….just as long as you save some for me 😉 Oh, and thanks mom for “suggesting” this site to me…even though you didn’t know you did! 😉
